This tournament was free and was for training umpires.
It was clarified in every coaches email the game would
be stopped on time limit no matter were the game was at.
Yes the Stars had guys on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out.
Time was running out and the last batter was walked intentionally.
Then the game was over. We were asked by the field umpire
if we wanted to continue and said no. The reason being
it could affect seeding which was important to us.

The stars are a great team and played a great game.
They are also a very fine and well coached group of boys.
As a coach in 12u baseball we all know in each and
every game time is a factor.
We only wished the tournament could of finished
out today to get to play more baseball.

I was at the game. It was a drop dead at hour and 20 minutes. No matter, the score reverts back to the previous inning. That being said, stars were never in the game at all. The score was like 7-0 at that point.

Thanks for the clarification of the tournament rules, if that was the rule then everyone knew so it is what it is. I don't necessarily agree with controlling the tourney seeding though as you have to play it out either way, can't look ahead......

12u12u. You are probably thinking of the Phillies game on saturday against ECB Select, that was 7-0. I know the umps were new and this was a free tourney, so it was all for fun anyway. All I said is I would have enjoyed seeing that Phillies / Stars game at least make it to the end of that inning. Not saying Stars would have won. Not saying the Phillies would'nt have scored 5 more runs. Either way, both those teams are well coached. It's gonna be a fun season. :)

Not a fan of a Drop dead time limit for baseball. It bad enought that normal travel games have a time limit but a drop dead limit of only 1:20 is not rel baseball. JMHO and I understand that coaches knew rules ahead of time. Exact reason we stay away from this type of event.
