The use of the word Stategy is not a no-no if you know how to use it and what it means. Apparantly Smoke and you didnt know who was on the "Dragons" before their roster was posted? I knew back in late August. Come on!!!!!! Stop with the stategy bit, (AA17DAD) and stop with the Southside Dragonslayer bit (Smoke) from last year. Play ball.

NOBODY " KNEW " who was on "their" roster in August.....Many, players were asked to participate in "their"; try-outs,work-outs and fall Tournaments. MANY have since moved on......Some have moved on recently and still others are about to be facing reality about playing-time and I'd be willing to bet that the roster posted now, will change, some will leave and others will come.
What is soooo offensive about the use of the term strategy????

| How much roster shuffling will go on in the next month? Will the kid who is sitting be looking for a new team? It happens every year. Do you want to wear the Dragons name and possibly have little playing time. Or do u want to have playing time and possibly slay the MIGHTY DRAGON!!!! Good point Smoke:) |

Nothing is offensive about the word itself, only your use of it. And yes, I knew all 28 players that were invited in august and all 18 to 20 that were invited for spring by the beginning of November. There are very few real secrets at ECB and I can't hep it if you can't find out who is or is not on a team. As far as the word strategy look it up in the dictionary. I did. It does not apply. Like you said earlier I can explain it to you but I can't make you understand it.

| Just wondering why you all talk so much trash about the Astros?? I wouldn't want my kid to be on a team where he is not going to play much either, but that is how it is and is always going to be. It just really seems to bug you all WAY more than it should..... |

Now, I realize some of you have never used " Strategy " as a factor in posting your rosters. But if you are nieve enough to think that some teams don't use a certain amount of strategy in announcing their roster you simply are not informed and or experienced enough on the subject to speak out against those of us that are.
And to top it off you try and turn my own borrowed quote against me......now that just ain't right.

I think you need to read this thread again on who is trash talking the Astros. I think trash talking any team on these threads is just wrong and you guys do it every season....... I agree this thread has gotten pretty stupid, but you sure did join in it a lot! I really think, at this point you are just trying to get the last word and you can have! It is tiring listening to you talk in circles. On to better post, like maybe the ECB tourney being played this weekend! quote:

I forgot to answer your last question as to why I think you all are obcessing over the Astros or "Dragons" as you all call them. This post was about 14U TEAMS not showing their rosters and most of you guys managed to make it about the "Dragons" not showing their roster.quote:

OK...I'll ask another question I'm certain you will ignore like ALL the others.
Give me 1 example of me trash talking the Astros.
They always put together one of the best teams in the country. They are always a great team to play against and watch play.
Their program is not for everyone but all of those in the Astros program have plenty to be proud of.
I often enjoy a good debate and sharing different opinions. I admit that responding to your comments has got this whole thread spinning in circles.
You have yet to add anything constructive to this conversation. Your only input has been to trash talk those of us that have.

Ok, I guess I will try this one more time. You guys do trash talk how their program is run, the # of kids on their roster, the # of kids that will sit, the parents allowing this and how their roster will still change as the season goes on. This happens every year and it really seems to bother most of you guys on this thread. When people write in all caps it shows their anger, like smoke did. I disagreed with you about any of this being strategic(my opinion, I would NEVER claim that I know the facts like you did). There is nothing to add. I still don't know why people don't show their roster, but did see a couple of good POSSIBLE reasons from a few on this thread. One point that was good was that there are a lot of high school kids playing high school ball. I hope that clears things up and we can put this to rest. quote:
