According to the results on usssa site, looks like FLABB was right with the Ghost taking the ship over Yankees. Anyone give some insight on how those teams participating looked. Looks like Cardinals had a rough go in pool and regrouped to make a good showing on Sunday. |

Did anyone notice any performance drop off using the new stamped bats? |

Ghosts are a major team....very athletic with lots of pitching. PSDS Yankees not bad, but not as strong as Ghosts in our opinion. Cards always play well on Sunday had some great extra inning games and will be one of better AAA teams. Diamond Bears played well both days, couldn't get the big hit vs Yankees, left too many runners on base. Very pleased with performance. But it's early in season and the Florida teams are more game ready. Great weather and good tourney, wish some of you would head south for an occasional tourney. |

Also 200' fences are too short for 12U travel baseball.....even little league is 225'.... |

So you are saying that the Ghost should be moved up to Major and perhaps the PSDS team should be AAA or is PSDS a legit major team also? T13, how would you compare the Ghost and the MG Mocs? |

If these were 200 ft fences, did many go yard? |

yes, some pop up homers which would be outs on 225' but also a few rockets were hit.....bats didnt seem to be a problem...
Ghosts are a major team (pretty talented all the way through lineup) - very solid fundamental team with lots of athletes.....PSDS real strong AAA or low major (cards and diamond bears solid AAA).....

SOGAS....Mocs have a pitcher that can dominate a game (tough to pick against them in one game), but probably lean ghosts in a series... |

Ghosts hit 8 HR's for tourney. They have several good sticks. Have played against them since 9U travel. They border between a high level AAA to lower end Major team. With a few more dominant pitchers they would be a very good Major team. |

Don't believe that pitcher is on our roster anymore. Hopefully we will meet and see that we are more than just one player. Would love to play the ghosts once rosters are frozen. Would be nice to play the dbears in a tourney also but seems that when we are in town locally they are somewhere else. Maybe we will let you select the pitcher if we ever meet.(lol) As far as the Cardinals they have kids that have caught the Little League world series bug and have verified (?) addresses in the warner robins district ;-} Look for them to have a varied roster on Saturday and play hard Sunday.. |

Mocs..the pitcher who we think can dominate any team is still listed on your roster.......but the issue is not between the Diamond Bears and Mocs. We were comparing the Ghosts and Mocs and stand by the comment that we would favor them over Mocs in a series. Diamond Bears just a little AAA team from one park and aren't in the conversation (can't compete on a daily basis with teams that get players from various parks). Everyone knows you guys are the class of Middle Ga, we are just trying to to compete with AAA baseball teams. FYI - we were in a tourney with you guys in fall, just got knocked out by the Cards before we had a chance to play you.
However, we are proud to say we have traveled to florida, alabama, south carolina and everywhere in georgia (not all teams willing to do this) to play all types of competition and feel that we have represented ourselves pretty well since we have have usually been just a high AA/low AAA team.
Diamond Bears willing to play anybody, anywhere, anytime and if you look at our past history over the last three years you will see we dont run from anyone...heck we've been to Panama City, Global World Series (with all major teams), Brunswick, Tallahassee, Gainesville and Ripken (Memorial Day) and we don't ADD players when we go.
We fully support all of the middle ga teams and often mention that we usually have to go North because none of the big boys ever head south. |

Wow, I wasn't trying to cause any friction here between the Bears and Moccs. I've saw the Bears play quite a few times and know what kind of team they are. T13 said the Ghost were a good major team. I was only trying to get a feel for how good they were by asking him to compare to the Moccs since I have seen the Moccs many times and consider them to be a middle GA elite team. |

SOGAS - that's what I thought...just giving our honest opinion on the Ghosts...must have caught a nerve, not sure why though - we have been pretty much a AA team until this year so its not like we were trying to compare ourselves to the Mocs (their roster is too large for us to compete with)...
If they did lose their pitcher to Stealth (or little league) that is a huge loss for any team in our opinion...we thinks he's one of best players in state... |

SOGAS: just to clarify - if you ask us as coaches if we had the opportunity to coach either the mocs or ghosts (we would choose the Ghosts based on the team they had this past weekend).... |

Thanks T13. That answers my question. BTW, Your Bears is quite a scrappy little team themselves. |
