I am hoping this is two different teams playing with the same name. I can't imagine a parent of a 12 yr old would put their kid in that type of situation. I am sure there is some logical explanation for this but I just can't think of it.
I was interested by this post so I did some research and found the team in question and I don't know the whole story but it is very common for players down in that area of town to play on several different teams since there are several within a few miles of each other. The other thing is, some probably can't commit full time since many are playing rec ball so they pull from this pool of players every weekend to play tournaments. This is jmho but I do know many kids from this park don't leave for travel so their rec program is really strong. |

Bravesfan,
I hope that is the case and looking back at it there are 10 kids with no previous USSSA teams listed so maybe they just listed these kids as fill in players. It makes a little more sense now. |

There are some kids who would enjoy being a hired gun. My son has told me that he would love to travel the country playing for a different team every week. The parents are the ones who need to know better. My son plays for a great team. Those coaches have made a commitment to him, and he has made a commitmen to the team. As his dad, I am the one who needs to teach him the life lesson of commitment. And I think I do. I just wanted to point out tha although I don't think it is right, sometimes it is the 12 year old kid who wants to do it. Mom and dad just need to realize why they should not allow it.

I agree that the kids want to and you make great points. Also how long before it becomes a job to them. There is plenty of time for them to wait in airports and stare at four walls when they reach the job market.
Don't know how it is in Georgia but if you look at some of the rosters in the Florida market both North and South you have more players moving around than full scale prison break. The baseball vine locally is saying much of this is due to Coaches and staff that just do not care and are not doing things for the right rea$on$

Great attitude> I wish a few others would teach commitment-character and loyalty. They need to be the parent and quit trying to be the agent or pimp in some cases.... |
