Good luck to everyone still finishing out the season. Good luck to all the kids moving to HS ball for the 1st time. Better luck to the kids who have already been playing HS ball and now will be trying for a spot on the JV teams. |

How does the E2, or similar tournies, work when situations like.... 1.G Titans; have a bid whether given (their case) or earned and they don't participate. I understand that the 1000$ has to be paid within a specific time frame after receiving the birth. Do they get their money back or have to get someone to take their spot, to then get the money from the next team? 2.As previously discussed, a team (G. Titans) doesn't play in their state tournie. 3.Is it then the teams that get the births from someone, somewhere, earned or given, that go to the E2? 4.Are there truly only 32 bids? or just 32 that pay to play and have a birth from someone/somewhere? 5.Is there a penalty for not showing at state tournies/ E2 or the like? 6.Is the attempt to get the best teams there? Then if the bids keep moving around then just about anyone could end up with one? So, it's similar to Cooperstown in that a few great teams are going to win, place show and the other teams are just "going." |

Most that will be there have qualified for the Elites. And the fee is $1500 once you accept the bid. When you use the Disney housing then they give that money back.
There are always a few bids, like the Titans, that go unused. So some teams will get an "at large" bid. Teams that have played in Super NIT's and not qualified usually get first shot at those. Then you MUST qualify your bid by playing in your states USSSA State tourney. The only way around that is if you happen to get your bid AFTER the State tourney has happened.
It will be a very strong group of teams! Good luck to the GA teams heading down. We will be heading to Nashville for the CABA World Series. Hopefully we can all bring some titles back to GA! |

Congratulations should also go out to the East Cobb Pride for making it all the way to Friday in the Elite 32. That DBAT team they beat is a nationally acclaimed program, so they should be very proud of the season they have had. |
