I see the Pride and the Longhorns are signed up for the wood bat Triple Crown tournament this weekend. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned anything about it. The board seems a bit dead these past few weeks.

I am with you....With all of the shakeout at ECB, it will be interesting to see what the Pride and Longhorns have put togather. Does anybody have any input? Also, what about the out of town teams in the tourney???

I had a chance to watch a few innings of the Pride - Longhorns game Sunday. Both teams looked pretty good for early in the season and for what I understand was both of their first wood bat tourney at 60/90.

I didn't get to see the next game, but I caught almost all of the championship game between the Pride and the team from South Carolina. If the Pride continues to pitch and play defense like they did on Sunday, they could be a force at this age group. Big team that is very athletic looking, with a good bit of speed. Looking at the scores on Triple Crown, I see they only gave up 1 run in 3 games and I think all 3 games went 7 innings.

Going to be fun to watch some of these teams this year. Congrats to the Pride for bringing home the hardware in their first tournament of the season.
