Wow! I haven't seen the board this inactive in quite a while. What's going on everybody?

Must be recovering from tryouts and enduring the all consuming negotiations for finalizing a team decision?

Don't know that I've ever seen so much drama @ ECB. There's always a lot but this year has been big time drama.

Extreme merges with Pride
Bulls team is formed...coaches quit....new coach takes over while in Scotland
One supposed team never materializes

Sounds a bit like a soap opera over there.

Sorry, but Im not buying the "football season" excuse.

We have been making calls just like everyone else. It seems to have been a bit more crazy this year during the tryout period. Just trying to get some discussion going.

Just give it some time Mike. Football season starts this weekend (at least in Cobb County). After a few weeks of hitting, and ultimately getting hit, I'm hoping my son will focus his attention back to baseball. Right now all he can think about is scoring that first touchdown.

We ALL know it is not because of the football season....... All of this ECB drama is crazy!! You are right it is a soap opera. It has not been fun being a part of it, especially when you were told one thing and it doesn't happen. All of this makes you just want to walk away!

Mike, Glad you are OK. Politics, favors, new teams, dropped teams, in fighting etc. all part of 14u ECB drama. It is a shame that the kids are the ones affected. Great place to play but too much BS.

It ain't just East Cobb. It is the silly season for sure. Lots of smoke and mirrors.

OMG, is it worse this year than any other??? Or just my imagination? Really! It's scary!
When all the kids grow up, grow out of baseball, or the adults get a life we'll look back and laugh.

Not an ECB dad, but do know with school starting and football in full swing we've left things on simmer. Our son his practicing with his team one night per week and keeping up with his hitting instructor, but his plate is FULL - so we're making sure we don't let him pile it on too high, expecially with it being his first year in HS.

I do know we are really looking forward to the 14U travel, 13U was our first year and we loved it.

Have a mixture of kids playing out of HP this weekend. They will be playing down in Lagrange, 10 teams. These young men will finally get their feet wet now that they are playing 60 90 rules. I'm interested in seeing if the bats take over this year. Probably not going to be able to run the fastball by hitters unless you are throwing mid 80's. It's gonna be great to get back on the field.

OK September is officially over and the weather is beautiful. I'm starting to go through some baseball withdrawal here. Any good tourneys coming up?

Looks like the Astros took care of business in South Carolina and brought home the ship! Congrats!!! The Expos also had a good showing. It should be another great year for Georgia baseball!

Try Homeplate, if he is a really good catcher contact both Mark Jones and Josh Copeland good catchers are hard to find shouldn't have a problem landing on a good team.
