NITRO Baseball is hosting tryouts for it's 2012 GGBL (Greater Gwinnett Baseball League) team(s) on Sunday, August 21st from 5:00-7:30PM at Bunten Road Park, Field 2.***
Call backs/second looks will be Sunday August 28th from 3-5PM - same field.
Players interested in joining the 2012 NITRO tournament only spring team should also attend these tryouts! Please indicate when you register that you are trying out for a tournament only team position.
The team(s) will be head coached by Travis Calloway and assisted by Keith Sokol. Coach Calloway recently retired as a catcher from baseball with the San Angelo Colts of the NABL and is currently working with NITRO Baseball's fall teams.
NITRO will play a 14 game GGBL schedule representing the city of Duluth. The season runs from March 1 through the end of May after the conclusion of a double elimination tournament. Each team will also play in 2-3 weekend tournaments.
NITRO practices and plays home games out of Bunten Road Park. Indoor winter workouts, speed/agility training and professional cage instruction will begin in January 2012.
