The 14U East Cobb Braves will be hosting work outs Sunday Aug 7th, 2011 from 3-5pm for the 2011 fall/2012 spring season. The Braves will be playing at the highest level of competion.
We are looking for pitching and middle infielders.
Pleae send me an email at ecbraves14u@yahoo.com with player name and past team and level played, plus positon played. If you would like to attend the work outs. |

I understanding this team has no correlation with the 2011 13U Braves.
Is that correct?
Is this a start up team?
What team did you coach for the 2011 season?

Why not e-mail the coach? I am sure he is very accessible. I know you will be very pleased with the response. I would be thrilled to have him coach my son if we played 14's. Great coach with great demeanor.

That is correct. The pitching instruction is just that good...LOL. I am sure all positions are open. I know I don't turn away talent.

Jumping up on a soap box....
This forum is for two way communication. What we would have liked to have seen is an introduction or some background in the initial posting. This particular section does have a classified ad or announcement feel to it but it is still part of the general forum where questions and answers can take place. It is helpful to know the who, what, where and why and then allow for things that were missed and fill in the blanks. I had asked all these questions in a cordial fashion via the forum a week ago and was never answered. I now ( we have our sources ) understand at the time of Coach Simmons's first post there was a fair bit still up in the air but had Coach Simmons answered some of the questions it would have gone a long way. My impression was it was someone who hoped to get a team together, plenty of start-ups happening. Not what we were looking for so we said forget it. How many others read it this way? It's not an '95 Honda Accord with 180k offering here, it's a position on a baseball team for our son, playing for a person he'll be calling coach for the next year. It's that important and it's why you'll see some of the longer posts and discussions for positions. Unless you have a long standing history and reputation for excellence I'd think more information would get a better reception. I hope this helps take some of the edge off... Standing down. |
