The East Cobb Longhorns will be holding tyrouts for the 2012 Spring/Summer Season Monday night August 1st at 6:30pm and again Wednesday August 3rd at 5:30pm. Both sessions will take place at East Cobb on Field #5.
Please complete the East Cobb Tryout form on the eastcobbbaseball.com website and bring $100. This also signs you up for tryouts August 13th and 14th hosted by East Cobb.

Several have called or emailed and asked what level the Longhorns plan to play this year. Our goal is to compete at the major level and play mostly major and open level tournaments. Last year, we held on to our AAA status to allow us to play some other tournaments until our middle school players wrapped up and then after numerous injuries it just made sense to not play major every weekend. We played a total of 16 tournaments, of which 12 were major or open. We played 4 AAA tournaments while we had key folks injured. For the season we won 4 tournamnets and had 1 runner-up finish.
Our program is about development. Players will play more than one position to better prepare them for high school, they will work hard and often on proper fundamentals and mechanics, we will improve their baseball IQ and we will teach them how to win. Our philosophy is to play 25% of our games against teams you shouldn't beat, 25% against teams you should and 50% against teams that whoever plays the best and executes will win. It's not for everybody, but if that sounds exciting to you we look forward to seeing you this week!

| Yes. We are still on for tonight. It is not mandatory that you attend both but we would like for as many as possible to so we get a good look at each player and can make a fair evaluation. After Wednesday night's tryout, we will put together a short list of players for an invitation only session the following week. Onward! |

East Cobb Longhorns tryouts this weekend; Saturday August 6th, 10am and Sunday August, 7th at 4pm. Please call for more details and location.
We had 2 tryouts this week and are having 2 this weekend. Next Thursday, August 11th, there will be an inviation only workout for those we are still interested in.

We will carry 14 players and will be classified and play major. We've recently added 5 major players to our exisiting core group and have 4 roster slots remaining open. Priority is pitchers, 1 middle infielder and 1 outfielder.

Yes, it is open. However, we are looking for major level talent only. This will be our 5th tryout and is invitation only from the previous groups that have tried out. All are welcome that fit this criteria. The tryout is Thursday at East Cobb @ 6pm on Field #5.
