The Georgia Roadrunners are looking towards the 2012 season and looking to continue the tremendous success of the past couple of years by the current Roadrunner team by assembling an elite group of baseball players that will compete throughout the Southeast Region the in the 2012 season.

Our objective is to play over 40 games of Elite level tournament baseball including Showcase and National events and finish the season playing in a sanctioned World Series Tournament (TBD).

The Manager of the current Roadrunners is Paul Byrd, former major league
pitcher with 14 years of MLB experience. Paul will be joined once again this coming season by Peter Bergeron, former MLB outfielder with 12 years of Pro experience and past of coach of the National Champion 18U Georgia Roadrunner Travel Team. Joining the coaching staff this year will be former collegiate catcher Scott Berardi. Scott played 4 years at Louisiana State University and was the catcher on the 1993 LSU National Championship team.

The Roadrunners play out of Alpharetta, GA and hold their winter workouts at Michael Barrett's state of the art indoor facility at 1595 Redi Road #400 in Cumming, GA.

The Mission of the Roadrunner baseball program is to develop and prepare baseball players to earn division 1 baseball scholarships and/or be drafted by Major League teams. To this end, the Roadrunner program has a long history of developing players to play the highest level of baseball. Peter Bergeron’s 2009 Roadrunner class received 23 college scholarships and among those players, 6 were drafted by Major League teams.
