He played in the Pirates organization through 2006 then played with Tampa Bay organization until 2008. Pedro won back-to-back stolen base titles in 2006 & 2007. In 2007 Pedro was honored to have his own “Stolen Base King” bobble head given out at the Pirates Lynchburg Hillcats opening day 2008. Pedro’s practice philosophy- “Coming from professional baseball I look at practice as a necessary commitment to achieve a desired outcome of success. Baseball is a game that failure is a big part of, it is the job of the coach to minimize the experiences of failure, create a proper mental outlook for each player on the team, and foster of love of the game of baseball and individual skill development. Our practices will be high energy and aggressive---the same way we will play! My focus will be on player development and proper technique in a disciplined high energy atmosphere!
I do not have a player on the team! I will have an assistant with a child on the team but as a professional ball player, I believe that the game of baseball should be respected and played the right way and that personal preferences without regard to talent have no place in the greatest game in the world.
