It sounds like there will be more teams added to the 10u Home Plate line-up next year with potentially 4 teams compared to 2 this year. Any rumors on a team moving over like the Legends did this year or are they just pulling talent from the area? Either way it sounds like HP is looking to be more competitive at every class next year.
With the Peachtree City Mudcats dissolving, the Homeplate teams should all see improvement. I have only heard there are two teams playing...Homeplate coached by Vandergriff scheduled to play AAA/Major ball & Homeplate coached by Schmitts, starting out AAA. I would not be surprised to see a 3rd team form or 4th team that converts from one of the other baseball factories or rec.
Anyone heard anymore on the HP teams for 10yr olds? Are they having 2 teams and are they pretty much already full or are their several spots available? Is it worth going to try-outs or are the teams already formed?
From what I hear there are at least 3 10u teams. 2 of the 3 have more than 1 slot available while the 3rd would jump on the right player. At $25 for 4 days...why not?
