The Hobgood Thrashers plan to continue to build on two successful seasons and will have a 12u AAA/Major team for 2012. We ended this past season with a record of 37-22-2 winning the Chick-Fil-A Duel on the Diamond and the TCS Spring Frost Silver Bracket finishing off the season at Panama City Beach GSWS II finishing 3rd out of 28 teams.
We will be looking to have 11 to 12 players for 2012 Season and Cooperstown trip. Our plan is to play a few fall tournaments (depending upon players' availability and other sports,etc) and a full tournament schedule thru May 2012 and get into an early June week at Cooperstown. We like to win. We like to have fun. We are focused on baseball fundamentals and improving our players skills both physically and mentally. Our players budget should be around the $1250.00 mark plus $795.00 for Cooperstown. We plan on a number of fundraisers to help offset this years budget increase due to the Cooperstown trip.
We will have a workout/tryout on Saturday, July 30th from 1:00 to 4:00 PM on field 1. We are looking for athletic players capable of playing more than one position. We also are looking to add some roster depth at Catcher, SS and 3rd base. If you cannot make the July 30th date, please give us a call and we will set a time to get your son a workout.
