Q: Is there a pre-registration form? We will add a pre-registration form to the website by July 10. You will also be able to register on site.
Q: How many teams will you have? We will have two teams, one team coached by Jeff Auterson and one team coached by Brian Edmondson. These are professional baseball coaches with no kids on the teams.
Q: How many players on each team? The goal is to have 12 players on each team, but could possibly extend to 13 (max) depending on the team make-up. Our focus in on player development and we want to make sure each player gets ample playing time through the season.
Q: Do I need to come to 1 tryout or all tryouts? Players are encourage to attend as many tryouts as you can. We do realize some teams are still playing, including at Cooperstown thru July. Therefore we created 5 different tryout dates to give everyone that wants the opportunity to tryout an option.
Q: Will this be a Fall/Spring team or just a Spring team? Georgia Jackets does play a Fall season, but it is optional for all players. Many times players from both teams are combined to field a Fall team for a tournament. We also play as separate teams in the Fall when possible. |

For what it's worth, these guys are top-notch coaches and have excellent facilities. They DO focus on player development and have a reputation for being some of the best at it.
I highly recommend them to anyone considering serious baseball at the next level.
Just the humble opinion of an opposing coach.
