Contrary to previous posts about upcoming 10U Longhorn and/or 10U Astros tryouts, the 2011 9U Longhorns are privileged to be officially transitioning to the 2012 10U Astros. We are excited to represent the prestigious Astros name for the upcoming 2012 season. As originally posted under our 10U Longhorn name, we will be holding individual open workouts during the month of July to evaluate athletes and meet families interested in filling a few key roster spots and building on our 2011 nationally ranked squad. These tryouts will be coordinated by the 10U Astros coaching staff and the ECB organization.

The 9U Longhorns had a very successful season by winning four Championships including the Triple Crown State Championship and a Grand Slam World Series Title as well as two other runners up finishes in the seven 9U tournaments entered while also competitively playing up in four 10U tournaments.

Please visit our website which will be updated soon at http://www.leaguelineup.com/welcome.asp?url=longhorns_2010

Also remember that the official 10U East Cobb tryouts are being held on August 6th and 7th from 1pm to 5pm. Register early to get on the Coaches evaluation sheets.

If you are interested in joining the 2012 10U Astros, please call Head Coach Mike Mooney at 404-229-7360 or email at mjmooney@bellsouth.net .

We haven't yet decided on Cooperstown or not. We typically secure our players for the upcoming season and then discuss with coaching staff and parents on what works best for everyone.

Definitely something we are considering.
