They made it into the final 16 as the top of their pool but left on Saturday morning to go to the funeral for the parent of one of their players. I thought it was a very classy move on their part myself.
We had told the tournament directors prior to the start that we may have to leave. With the death of one of our parents we were not sure when the services may be. The services were then scheduled for Saturday afternoon. So once pool play ended we had to leave to support our player and his family in their time of need. That took a much higher priority.
From what I understand, they went home for the funeral of their players father. Class act decision to be there to support the family of their long time ball player!

Bracket is updated now. EC Braves beat EC Extreme in a game that a buddy of mine said was an outstanding game. Braves were down 4-2 in bottom of the 6th but came back to score 5 and win 7-4. Braves then lost to Brentwood Bats yesterday morning 13-12.
EC 45s also went down to CBA Cyclones in first round of bracket play.
Mac n Seitz beat Brentwood Bats in final game to win the tourney.
