Well the weather seems to be playing havoc with this weeks tourney. We will get to see some of the match ups that others were hoping for? We they get it finished? What happens if they don't get it all in? |

15u starts Saturday, so there's no room on the backend to finish if they don't wrap it up tomorrow. Plus several of the 14u teams are also playing in the 15u. I've heard they'll begin by scrapping the remaining consolation games with plan A, then plan B includes shortening the remaining bracket games by innings and time-limit to try and get to a champion. |

Thanks. Now the next question is who does this benefit the most or who gets hurt by this of the teams remaining? Who does it look like has the most arms left to finish up? Does this give someone an inside track with the shortened schedule? Fun finish! |

Schedule is out for Friday. Champion will have to play/win 4 games, with games scheduled for 9am, 12pm, 4:30pm, and 7:00pm. Some consolation games thrown in there, mostly made up of local teams, but a few out-of-state teams still hanging around. |

Favs are Maryland Baseball Academy and Astros. I predict close game with Maryland coming out on top. |

Maryland didn't look good this week. Could have lost to the 13U Astros, won with 1 hit. They did not look good against quality pitching at all and got beat today by a decent pitcher. They didn't look like a top 15 team. Sadly the rain may have finished this tournament. Would have been a match up against Astros and Kentucky. Kentucky had no pitching left and the Astros were still loaded for bear. Their staff was surgical this week, probably the best overall staff in the country. I know that there are some great arms out there, but not this many on one team. They also hit the ball with the wood. |

Astros looked like they were on cruise control. Definitely in a class by themselves. They have several pitchers over 80 and 4 touching 85. All the East Cobb teams looked good winning their pools. Maryland no match for a tourney where you need a lot of pitching. Meteors went to BITS to avoid the Astros. |

Got to talk with a lot of the Meteors, coaches and parents, now I have a lot of respect for the Astros and I do think they are one of the best if not the best. But the Meteors did not and would not avoid, nor run from any team that includes the Astros. The Astros never go on cruise control, they work hard, and go out with full force each and every time, they know everybody is gunning for them, and throw there best each time, they are the hunted. And they know on any given day they can be beat. I think that's what makes them so good. The post was just a little out there.
