Pope Greyhound Baseball Camp
June 13-16 @ Pope High School
The 2009 AAAAA STATE CHAMPIONS, and State of Georgia 2009 Coach of the year Jeff Rowland invite you to attend the annual Pope Greyhound Baseball Camp on the campus of Alan C. Pope High school at the beautiful “Hound Pound”! The camp is held during the summer off-season and all baseball training facilities of the school (field, indoor/outdoor batting cages, bullpens, as well as both school gyms) are used to conduct the camp.
The fundamentals camp is for athletes ages 7 – 11 and the skills camps are for athletes ages 12 – 15.
Fundamentals camp (for ages 7-11): This four day morning camp focuses on all aspects of the game (hitting/bunting, infield defense, outfield defense, base running, catching, and pitching) and teaches proper mechanics while at the same time creating a fun, player friendly, safe environment.
Skills camps (for ages 12-15): There are two separate afternoon skills camps for this age group. Skills camp #1 is a 2-day camp that focuses on all aspects of infield and outfield defensive play. Emphasis of this camp is on mechanics and situational defense. Skills camp #2 is a 2-day hitting camp. Emphasis is on mechanics and situational hitting.
