A question for you guys that did Cooperstown last year - did the teams trade pins at 12u? We are going soon and need to be prepared if so.

Thanks - GA Bandits

Absolutely. Every team, every week. In fact, if you look at any week on CDP website, they have pictures of every pin in Pete's collection.

yes... like never before! It was crazy. Also, they sell trophy boxes at the tournament that will hold a bat, jersey, etc. The kids put the towels with pins they've collected in those. Really cool!

There is so much interest in pin trading, that we caught a team sneaking into our room to look for pins.

The one thing we were not as prepared as we should have been was the laundry. I would make sure the coaches in the bunks know what the laundry procedues are and have all the kids clothes labeled.

Good Luck and Enjoy!

Yes they were trading pins at the Elite 32. It wasn't like Cooperstown but they were definitly being traded.

And just for the record the coaches don't actually do the laundry. They have a GREAT laundry service there. But a coach does have to organize it and make sure they get it done and organized. You should write your name on EVERYTHING that they take in to the dorms!

Name and Dorm room #. They will wash your laundry with other dorms. Remember there is 104 teams going.

Do not show up to Cooperstown without the pins. You want to see 12 disappointed kids. We saw a team where their pins showed up 2 days late. Talk about misery for the kids. They will trade while you are in line to get in.

Agree with everything about Cooperstown and pins..It is a MUST..Someone on here gave us great advice.. 100 pins per kid was perfect..Some didn't order that many..We gave each coach 20 pins and our umpire 20 pins...itsaboutbb is right on, kids would be in misery if they don't have pins..Wish I was going back..best baseball tournament EVER
