This time each year, a new wave of teams emerge after Little League , Ripken, Dixie Youth, Dizzy Dean, and other school-year-aligned organizations' playoffs wind down.
Memorial Day is typically the first weekend teams like; NYO Toros, Buckhead Braves, East Marietta Mets, East Marietta Eliminators, Ocee Stars, Dunwoody Destroyers, and others will enter the tourneys our boys compete in.
Outside the ATL Metro, we could see teams from Cartersville, Columbus, Warner Robbins, and Tifton/Cordele (Georgia Force).
I think these teams add interest to Summer play, and we'll be watching to see how much they've upgraded and improved since 11U.
NYO had key injury's last year, so I expect them to be more like the 10U NYO group we saw 2 years ago that were a top 5 team. If you don't think there's some talent in that area, take a look at Marist H.S.'s teams' results this year.
Any other orgs. or teams I have left out? |

Thanks. We have called or emailed several of the post and have not heard back from any of them. Just curious if we were doing something wrong. We will keep trying. |

jake00: These are not new teams that have formed, they are established teams that have been playing in some kind of park league in their immeidate area, and not travel tourneys.
This time of year, their park league commitments are done with, so they can play travel tourneys. Some might be picking up a player or two if some of their family's are not up for Summer travel baseball, but I suspect most hit the travel circuit with a full roster.
Good Luck! |
