| looks like a pretty darn good AAA tourney sprinkled in with a few majors....hope a team from GA takes it! without knowing anything about the TN teams EC Raptors vs. Rays in 'ship.... |

I'll take Wills Park Titans and EC Rays in the ship. Without seeing brackets.

| Great venue, great weather (a little cool),and great competition, make for a great tournament! Congratulations to the Knoxville Komets and the Rays for making it to the finals with the Rays coming out on top. The Rays had a great run suffering their only loss to the Hobgood Thrashers in pool play. Great job guys! |

This tournament was somewhat predictable, only a few mid major type teams along with a bunch AAA types. 643 & titans can flash the leather but both lack the scoring punch. Stars posed the only threat but they have been struggling most of the season to score runs. Rays have one of the best offensive teams around if it werent for all the games vs. the braves, they might have 2-3 more tournaments wins. They have a favorable pool draw in the battle of the south, look for them to show well. |

Definitely do recommend playing The Summit. Good fields, and not very far from ATL too. If ya get a chance to play there don't forget to bring a net to hit into since there are no batting cages @ the softball complex. Still could see a good bit of damage in the area so hoping all of the North GA & TN folks are doing well recovering from the Tornado's.
With the mountains in the backdrop it reminded some of the parents of the landscape @ Cooperstown. Really is a beautiful venue.
One of the more interesting observations was the price of gas! It honestly was 40 cents cheaper in Chattanooga, and North Georgia than here in the metro ATL area. |
