Come on now.....even the 3rd and 6th seeds boys have Mothers. Kinda hard to be sweet to mom and bring her breakfast in bed on Mother's Day when you got to leave the house at 6:30 AM to be at the park to warm up.
Congrats to the East Side Hurricanes. They beat the East Cobb Astros in the semi's and Signature Park Storm in the finals. Signature Park beat the JCS Jackhammers in the semi's.
Congratulations on an excellently run tournamement! The field was beautiful - always dragged and chalked between games,the games started on time, umpires were excellent, organizers courteous. Let's do it again next year!
Question: Why did an East Cobb team have to use a North Cobb High School Softball field to host this? The facility is adequate and the field size for this age works but don't you pay enough money to the ECB foundation to allow you one slot for a tournament? I think the Yankees are or have thrown two at ECB this year and I am not sure about the Longhorns but I think they normally throw one each year at ECB. I am not a Yankee, Longhorn, or ECB hater but I don't understand why you pay all that money if you can't even use the facilities for a tournament?
I heard they filled up the tourny so decided to take all the checks they could. They may have gone deep in the tourny, but I'm not sure they could have taken down the Yankees. Back to back HR's to win it the ship pretty impressive.
