How can a TD make a 10 major team the 1 seed in pool play of a 11 AA? I thought a younger team playing up in a tournament got put at the bottom. This does not make sense. |

Not sure I understand. If this is barcket, I assume it is, then thier record would have had to earn the seed postion and it doesn't matter what age group they come from. |

Seeding is based on USSSA points and goes by age and classification first so in this case the TD should have gone with the 11U teams first then seeded the 10U team. At least, that is my understanding. What teams are in this tournament?? |

This was discussed in depth last week, and according to the USSSA rules, the 10 Major team should have to play 11AAA anyway. Seems to vary depending on TD interpretation($$$). Not Sure of the seeding but looks like an evenly matched group of teams that should make for some fun games. |

TD's Pls dont misinterprete the($$$) I would probably try to make the money too, if I had to deal with as many coaches and parents as you guys. I guess as long as the 11U teams dont complain there is really no problem except that it sets a precedent for future arguments. |

This particular tournament is a Global Series qualifier for all ages and until a recent change was an open tournament any way. I think the TD has done a great job in organizing this tournament and schedules are already out. There are also two 11 majors playing in the 12 AA division. I am not sure but assume that the first 6 get a berth and the ones playing up would receive a berth also. |

Moccs,
Not sure whether it was "open" or not, I agree the TD put together a good group of teams.
I have not seem your team play, but on paper yall seem like the team to beat in the AAA.
My son has friends on Chain and HP-Turner and hopefully they can give your boys a good run. |

I don't remember if this tournament has always been open but at the beginning of the year all of the Global tournaments were supposed to be open just like the WS will be. But sometime around February we received an email that the Global Qualifiers would be broken down into classifications.
I think several of the teams this week can do more than give the Moccs a good run. We have been pretty lucky lately. I think it will be a competitive tournament all the way around and we are looking forward to some good baseball. Its not the on paper I am worried about but which group of 10-11 year olds will show up !!! I wouldn't count the Elite Gamers out either !!! Haven't really seen the Lions/stars /panthers much this year. |
