Hi All -
Not sure if folks recall but there was a prior thread that talked about tournaments @ ECB.
The refund policy is set by the host organization (TripleCrown, USSSA, Perfect Game, etc.), and not by the host ECB team. The entry fees go to the host organization too. What folks may not also realize is the ECB host team has to pay out $s to ensure there is an on-site trainer in the event there is injury with any of our kids. In many other parks the host team gets the entry fee, concessions, etc., @ ECB teams only get the gate fee (less expenses) as a fundraiser.
I know folks are upset about the weather impact this past weekend, but EVERYONE thru the state was affected by it from Dalton to Winder to ECB. All of the travel baseball organizations have their refund policies posted online. Tony, Shannon, Bubba can not control mother nature but I've found that they are pretty good to work with in the event of a rain-out ;-) |

Tae, You need to get your facts straight. We, Smash Baseball, were on the field for a total of 1 hour for our second pool play game on Sat. We didn't even make it through the first inning before a rain delay (~20 minutes play time). After the delay the umpires informed us they were shortening the games and we had only 43 minutes left on the clock. Final tally... $500 for 1 hour (3 innings) @ the beautiful ECB. Our first pool play game was at Mt. Bethel which is not a nice field.
Rich and Smash Baseball,
I wish I had the time to debate every aspect of the tournament with you but some things I have no control over, hopefully the bathrooms and concessions were to your liking as well. I'm really sorry you guys didn't enjoy your tournament experience at east cobb but the nice thing is you have a choice in where to play each weekend. Hopefully your experience this weekend in the Braves tournament provides you with everything you guys could want and hope for.
Good luck the rest of the way and we'll see you guys around the ball parks.

Well, as a the uncle of a participant I'm sorry for the "atta boy"....But I was there, and the team we played with decided to go for the #1 seed. And guess what we didn't get it!! But by actually playing to win the games we played 2 games on Sunday and had a pretty good time. Looks to me like EVERY team that went 2-0 played on Sunday but I could be wrong. |

Can someone plaese tell me why on the ussa web site for this tournament the 10U Longhorns are placed in first when WF DDawgs not only lead them in every catergory but also won the modified version of the tournament? I realize no points have yet to be awarded and these results may change, but who submitted the results as posted? It just seems "misleading". |
