The rising 9U Forsyth Grizzlies have partnered with Travis Bailey, owner of The Georgia Octane Baseball Organization. Travis, the head coach, has over 20 years of experience in travel baseball and has coached many young players that have gone on to play Division I collegiate baseball. Travis was drafted and played in the St. Louis Cardinal's organization and played a total of five years of professional baseball. Travis does not have a child on this team. The assistant coaches also all have collegiate and minor league playing experience, as well as experience coaching young athletes.
The team will practice at Denmark High School(https://www.facebook.com/DenmarkHS) facilities and have access to The Georgia Octane (https://www.facebook.com/georgiaoctane) indoor facility.
Our #1 goal is to develop young men. We are looking for great families and talented athletes to be a part of a special opportunity where development comes first. We are looking for players who love the game, are coachable, are great teammates, and play with great effort. We will play AAA baseball with the goal to develop into a Majors level team for our 10U season.
We will practice in the fall, playing 1-3 one-day tournaments, and intend to play 10-12 tournaments for our spring season. We are an organization that 100% supports players playing multiple sports.
The two-day tryout for the 2022-2023 season will be held at 6:00 PM on June 21 & 23 at the Denmark High School Softball Field. The registration fee for tryouts is $50. To register for tryouts complete the linked form: https://forms.gle/ubYnfdQ55PtnU3Ff9.
