Mill Creek - a 4 seed NO WAY 643 Panthers - 2 see a little high shoud be the 3 seed Hoco Cubs - 3 seed they should be a 2 Carterville - a 4 seed no way
I agree with all of your notes Shut Out, for once. Some teams ended up with different seeds because of travel restrictions. Mill Creek has players that have quite a drive and could only play in Norcross. So they got a lower seed than they otherwise would have had. Cartersville requested a later game time and Host teams don't play Game 1 (its hard to get a tournament AND a team ready to play in the morning).
Panthers had the guts to go to Sandtown when others complained about travel, including your team. Anyway, there's no real difference in #2 and #3. Coin flips determine home/away and there are no tiebreakers.
I like the topic though.
New Pick the Winners is up. Let's all put your money where your mouth is.
One the the best outputs of this format is a win counts evenly as a win and not by the runs you give up or the runs you score. Win and move on. One of my pet peeves is hearing people say they won but gave up too many runs especially when the kids hear this. Heck a win is a win. Great format.
A Georgia World Series without the best team in Georgia??? Where are the Bandits in all this??
Bandits wanted to play, but have a conflict with the dates for the Championships. They are going to Gulf Shores for Super NIT that weekend.
Next year, this tournament will be later in the year (May Regionals, June Championships), but that was impossible for 12u due to Cooperstown conflicts throughout June.
