I understand there are waiting lists for a few age groups. Dont you think for such a great cause they should be looking hard for more fields or even start an extra day early? This is the start of a great season and I don't think anyone should be left out. Any ideas or comments on this issue. I just think it stinks for those being left out in such a great cause and a big tourney no matter the reason. There is still a month left before the tourney!!
I'm sure for a "small" holding fee, There may be a coach that might want to back out and give up their spot. LOL What fields will they be playing on now??
skeeter...i couldn't agree more about hating to turn teams away. this year, across all age groups, we have 246 teams (the max) paid out of over 270 requests to play. this will be the biggest field that we have ever had....next closest was 2010 at 192 teasm.
while we hoped we could max out, we certainly didn't expect to max out so soon. i did contact two other parks but both are unavailable because of their rec program that will be underway. i'm still looking for some other options in the area keeping in mind that we can't get too spread out.
