GJB, Sandtown, 643 DP Baseball, Norcross, HOCO Cubs, N. GA Storm, and GA Academy have come together to put on a unique format regional tournament for 12u. We need 1 more team to complete our field as we had a team drop out yesterday. This will be a double-elimination event so every game counts from the first pitch. To advance, you'll have to bring your best for every inning of every game.
We are working hard to make this the tournament that your kids will say it was the most fun event of the year. Some of the things we are doing include:
- Tournament bracket prediction contest (like March Madness) for Regional & Championship for players to pick the winners in each region. Winner wins a Rawlings bat.
- Regional Tournament Banners displayed at fields listing region and the 4 teams playing Regional Championship t-shirts for the winning teams to wear after the game
- Regional MVP trophy voted on by the coaches.
- Players names announced and national anthem for each game (where available)
And for the Championship, we have some even BIGGER plans to make this a truly unique event. All of the above plus:
- Live Internet Broadcast of games (we are working on video)
- Championship Hats for winners
- 3 umpires per game for Championship Series
- On-site Fishing Tournament
