Not all the boys at this age group are in high school. A large percentage of them are still only in 8th grade. There should be plenty of teams playing an early spring schedule.
I agree. We are a AAA team based out of Gwinnett and all our kids are in 8th grade,except 1. The reason I asked the question was that I reviewed last years 14u early season tournaments and they seemed to be a little thin. There were only 6 teams in the AAA Atlanta Super NIT last year(played in March). The Major Super NIT last year(played in May) had 24 teams. It appears that many of the Major teams have a high number of players playing for their high school teams until May. I did notice that the Triple Crown Slugfest in Cumming was having a solid turnout in both divisions.
