Now that the fall season is basically over, I started thinking about Spring 13u pitching....Based on what we have seen/heard, who is stacked with pitching this year? I have my own impressions, including the team we play for, but what about your impressions?
By the way, lets not turn this into a North vs South issue.
In no particular order, I know the 45s, Gamers, Stixx, Extreme, Braves, and have heard the ECB Titans all have 6 or 7 really good pitchers. Who are some others we should look for next year? |

Astros strong as usual, Roadrunners, Stixx are deep. Homeplate allowed 14 runs in 11 fall games and 1 run per game against majors. Braves will be strong but havent played in fall. Others mentioned have allowed plenty of runs but its fall and hard to tell. |

THE COLT 45'S PITCHING MAY BE 2ND TO NONE THIS YEAR. THEY HAVE A GREAT MIX OF ARMS. THE ONLY TEAM THAT MAY HAVE MORE DEPTH IS THE ASTROS BUT THEY ALSO HAVE THE MOST PLAYERS. |

Are you talking about teams with the one or two elite arms, or are we talking about the teams with the greatest depth of good, major arms? Of course, it could be both with some teams, but I'm just curious as to how people define the best pitching.
It seems that, in many cases, depth with good arms is more important than having the best one or two elite arms. The best teams have both.
Several teams have been mentioned: Astros, 45's, Homeplate, Road Runners, Braves, Stixx and others. Is there anyone out there who could list these teams, and clarify how many elite arms and how many good arms they have? This is just a curiosity thing, and I think, a discussion starter.
We have to talk about something in these long winter months... :-)

There are many teams that have a few top tier pitchers. All great pitcher's cannot be on the same team or they'd not get enough mound time. Good arms become great arms with game time/experience. Watch the 2 studs from Tsunami this season. The Longhorns have at least one stud and I'd say 2, and the AA+/AAA+ teams have studs too. Most teams have at least one. Once they get "known" the other teams come looking for them. Some parents just say, WHOA!
