HP team did a good job. After a tough loss to the Stixx on Saturday, came back to reel off big wins (3 in a row) on Sunday. Stixx vs HP through this year should get really good. It's gonna be a good 13U year.

Other than the lost to the Stixx on Saturday.. I guess they did kinda dominate..I seen where they scored 48 runs and allowed only 5 for the whole tourny.. HP must have pitched their Saturday pitchers against the Stixx on Saturday...cause they gave up 3 runs in one game..Sunday looks like they brought their A GAME. Lets see how yall do when u come up North with us Big Boys. |

Big Boys? If the BL Outlaws (elite 32), Cyclones (elite 32), Stixx, Crush, ECB Pride, arent the big boys I would like to know who you're referring to!!! Lots of good teams out there.... |

Astros, Braves, Roadrunners, 45's, etc. Alot of talent is playing football this fall. Let's just calm down until the Atlanta Super NIT. That's when everybody will meet. |

All kidding aside... win or lose, it doesn't matter. Those HP kids acted the same Sunday night as they did after the loss on Sat. morning. Coach Jones is doing a great job teaching the game to 13u kids. Isn't that what its all about. He has no son on the team, no ego to stroke, just enjoys teaching young men the game, the right way! HP will definitely be a lot stronger than the past and will represent the south side well.

Don't hate the player, hate the game. Oh, 3 of the 6 Majors that were there will have the same spring roster as they did this weekend. So would that make them a "FALL/SPRING" MAJOR? Just curious how this works. Also is HP a "FALL" major? If so then I cant wait to see their "SPRING" TEAM.

Average hand he has been dealt? Please. Nothing was "dealt." Maybe you get "dealt" a hand in rec ball but those players were selected to play on that team based on their above average ability. Just like on every other travel baseball team. The players Coach Jones SELECTED are as talented as any others their age. That's why they are there. I'm not saying they will win every game this spring but they will compete against anyone. You can bet on that. |

There is one thought I have about last weekend. I was proud of the Georgia teams showing awfully well in the the 13U arena. When it was all said and done, there were two Georgia teams standing.
Alabama and Florida have some good baseball, but for the weekend, Georgia showed up well. Good job to all those boys and coaches. |

Agree! Hopefully the trend will continue in the spring, but we all know that two of the Alabama teams can beat anybody on any given day. Very Solid. |

HOMEPLATE is the Boise ST of this age. They have decent talent that was not recruited elsewhere They have a pretty good coach and are well prepared. They can gear up and beat a team in a 1 game season, and have good team chemistry. The bottom line is they do not play the schedule to qualify them as a top team. The get votes because they win a lot.But they are suppossed to beat these teams. Picture ECB as the SEC These teams beat up on each other all season playing a brutal schedule meanwhile HP aka Boise is blowing out AA teams and beating there chest wanting a title shot but never playing the schedule to get it. I could ramble all day but the bottom line is its fall the better kids were not playing in auburn they were playing football if u want a shot at the trophy come find the RRs 45s and Astros we will be in the SEC beating up on each other all strapped with four pitchers better than anything u have seen. Good Luck |

Go Gators...Not trying to stir the pot but Astros and RR's have earned their stripes, beating top teams and winning tournaments. HP is a new team with all new players and I'm sure will play with the best this year. The old Georgia Acad team won tournaments over White Sox, Colt 45, Long Horns, Xtreme, Icons, etc..( with lesser talent)and finished higher at the Atlanta NIT last year than all Georgia teams except the Astros who beat them 5-2 in the semi finals. If this team has been upgraded like everybody says it sounds like they're pretty solid. Why would you include 45 in this group having never won a big tournament? I heard the 45 ran out of pitching and borrowed one of Homeplates's pitchers to win a fall tournament. Is that true? And your making these kinds of statements? Really? You seem to know so much about HP but the fact is its ALL new players...
You might want to take a wait and see approach. |

battinglast...I would agree. There is no doubt that Georgia, Alabama and Florida all have multiple teams to be reckoned with. It will be fun to see the spring season...it always is.

Might want to check your facts. SNIT...GA Academy tied for 5th with 2 other Ga teams.
45's went 4-1 against all Major Teams. Stixx and GA went 3-2.
All tied for 5th.
This years 45's are only a portion of last years Colt 45's.
Last year Colt 45's Won the Global NIT Qualifier, that included 6 Major Teams, and 5 AAA's including a Win over Ga Academy.
Trust me both the 45's and HP belong in any discussion right now about top prospects for next year. |

How can you say they were not recruited elsewhere? Did you ever think the team might be made up players from the south side of Atlanta that have no desire to go all the way up to East Cobb. Home Plate is great facility with excellent coaches and instructors and the players that play there do it by choice. I guarantee every kid on that HP team could play on one of the top couple of team at East Cobb, but why drive all the way up there and spend twice as much when we are happy at HP? The whole travel baseball world doesn't revolve around East Cobb. |

I would say if you really want to find out how good they are send them down to Central/South Florida. There are a few Major teams down there that would enjoy seeing some teams from Georgia. Having played/lived in both states I always say any team that wants to test where they stand should play in a Major tournament in Florida. NUFF SAID LOL.

G-Man, I'm sure HP will be playing/seeing a few teams from FL in the Spring. The GA teams haven't faired so well in the past with FL teams, kinda like you guys with CA teams. :) I saw where MBA made a few pick-ups this Fall, just wonder if they will hang around for the Spring. |
