It's been very quite on the 10U board, I was thinking now that most of the tryouts have been completed and most teams set or just looking to fill one or two spots there would be more talk. I was hoping to get a look at a couple of teams this past weekend at the TC but not enough teams showed up in our age group. Are more teams going to sign up for the TC Fall State? Right now it only shows six teams.
Are teams doing Sunday scrimmages/practices now or laying low until after football? I was hoping to hear how some of the teams are looking (and not I saw this team practice and they look like a HS team) more along the lines of updates from scrimmages or games. It looks like the turnouts are stronger in the older groups this fall, is this because most kids focus on one sport as they get older?
I think alot of boys are really into football at this time of year. At age 10U a few months off wont ruin your future so I think many teams are just laying low letting their boys focus on football.
We played a 3 team round robin (Nations Battle in Barrow) up in Winder a couple of weekends ago against two tough teams from Signature park.
Signature Park Falcons won 9 - 8 over the Signature Park Storm in game 1. South Paulding Xplosion won 9 - 8 over the Falcons in game 2 Xplosion won 9 - 7 over the Storm in game 3. All the games were well played by all teams, and it was a good test for all 3 teams with their new rosters. That's the only games the Xplosion has played so far this fall.
