We are pleased to announce our 14U travel tryouts for Sandy Plains Baseball 2010-2011.
Our tryouts are $10 per player, and will be conducted by former college and pro players (Billy Shaughnessy SS; Lassiter HS, Mercer University, and San Diego Padres), (John Michael P/1B; Vidic Lassiter HS, Tulane University), and (Chris Duncan OF; St. Francis HS, Tennessee Temple University)
Wednesday night July 21st 6PM - 8PM Field 6 Harrison Park
Saturday July 24th - 10AM-12PM Field 6 Harrison Park
Sunday July 25th - 4PM-6PM Field 6 Harrison Park
There will be 2 teams Wildcats Managed by Charlie Dino and Head Coach Don Jones (College baseball pitcher at College of Wooster)
Prowlers Managed by Nick Cachussie and Head Coach John Michael Vidic (College Pitcher at Tulane University)
We are striving for the teams to be Major to AAA level teams this coming year. We are hoping that you will consider coming out to the tryouts and becoming a part of the Sandy Plains program.
We consistently have the nicest fields, plenty of field time for practices and games, and raise $5 - $6,000 per team each year running tournaments as an organization to offset costs.
If interested in attending the tryouts please contact Charlie Dino at travelteams@sandyplainsbaseball.com or show up at a tryout 2653 Shallowford Rd, Marietta GA 30066

There will be no $10 charge for this tryout, we thought it was necessary for insurance purposes, but our insurance covers all participants. So, please email us if you are intending on attending any or all of the tryouts. Also, if you have already contacted us the $10 is not necessary for participation. The Sandy Plains tryout form with signed waiver is necessary. |

We are being asked does a player have to be at all 3 tryouts.. The answer is the more we see the player the better, but he doesn't have to be at all 3 tryouts. Sunday's tryout will be a good one to attend, as we will scrimmage and see the boys in game situations. |
