The 12U Wills Park Warriors are holding tryouts on Sunday August 1 from 2-5pm at Wills Park on Field D.
This was an extremely successful AAA/Major 2010 team that plans to play MAJOR level in 2011 at 12U. We were very good in 2010 and are looking to get even better in 2011.
We play in Alpharetta out of Wills Park off Old Milton Parkway (GA400 exit 10). This is very convenient to lots of locations, including South Forsyth, North Fulton and Cobb County.
Our coaching staff has a combined 15 years experience coaching high-level youth baseball and our playing experience ranges from accomplished High School to the Collegiate level.
We set up an enjoyable environment for our team with player development, both baseball skills and mental skills, as top priorities. We also utilize indoor and on-field profession training from both Grand Slam Sports and Windward Academy (home of the McCanns).
We will be playing a majors schedule of 60-70 games and ending our season at Cooperstown Dreams Park in Cooperstown, NY
Some of the 11U Warrior accomplishments include:
Had quality victories over: Midway Dirty Dogs, Home Plate Chilidogs Lawson, Cartersville Rookies, Yellow Jackets Gold, Lynn Haven Longhorns (#1 USSSA Team in Nation), East Cobb Luck, Etc…
We competed in 10 tournaments in 2010 and won three of them: Triple Crown March Mayhem, Triple Crown Back to School & USSSA Battle of Cumming.
We finished second in the Javy Lopez Wood Bat (losing to ECB Stars in extra innings)
We had the best overall League Record in the Lanier Baseball League TOURNAMENT (AAA/Major) Division.
Please contact any of our coaches with questions, or to arrange a private tryout if you are unable to make the August 1 tryout:

Good question, Server. (I like that name, it's really retro)
This is probably 15-18 minutes. Late afternoon, which is typical practice times, you are going against traffic, so you are full 75mph on GA400. Exit 13 (or 14) to Exit 10. Simple. |

Wow, that's really close. What else can you tell us about this team and the tryouts?
How many players are you looking for? |

We expect this team to be a MAJOR level 12U team which is a nice find for outside of ECB - which is a haul for just about everyone.
We are looking for GAMERS capable of playing at or quickly moving to the Major level. Real Baseball players. |
