Another week about to get started, and another group of GA teams are descending upon upstate NY.
643 Cougars East Cobb Yankees Grayson Meridian Mizuno OP SS Tomahawk etc...
Some notable FL teams in this week as well... Not as much power from CA/TX, so maybe GA can at least make it to the 'ship! Good luck y'all, bring it home! |

An important lesson learned, please do not let your child stay in the barracks if they are sick, or just recovered from being sick. Nasty stomach virus spread like wildfire in one of the GA team. Totally ruined the experience for a lot of the families in that team... |

If a kid is over his illness, he shouldn't be disallowed to not have this experience. Seems unfortunate, but it's life. Sick kids happen. |

Kid was not over his illness. Sick before the first game and not disclosed by parents. Later parents had to be sternly convinced to not allow son back in the barracks, but by that time the damage was done. |

Oh, well in that case... that's haphazard and reckless and down right selfish of the parents to essentially sabotage the rest of the teams experience by sending an infected kid in the barracks to spread the virus. Sounds intentional. So sad. |

Even in school and any other activity, we are told to wait 24 hours after they last had a fever or the last vomiting episode even if your kid looked like they are well already as they could still be infectious.
But as the other poster noted, this wasn't even a "my kid is well already but we didn't wait 24 hrs and prematurely sent him to the barracks". This is a "my kids is still sick but he really wants to play at Cooperstown and we paid a lot for this so we are sending him to the barracks anyway". |
