| The 13U WEST FORSYTH DIAMOND DAWGS will host tryouts on Saturday, JULY 17th from 2:30-4:30 and Sunday, JULY 18th from 2:30-4:30 at WEST FORSYTH PLAYERS PARK. The 2011 WFDD will be a performance based team with a commitment to developing skills in order to play at the next level, fielding a competitive team, enjoying the game of baseball, and achieving success through hard work and discipline @ the AAA level. There will be some practices, scrimmages and team building activities this fall. We encourage all players to participate in the fall and spring sports ( football, basketball, track, etc.) as we feel this makes them better baseball players/athletes….and we will schedule accordingly around these sports. The players will receive good fundamental coaching from good coaches, (high school, college and pro level) and combine outdoor and indoor sessions throughout the fall and winter with top-level instructors. The DIAMOND DAWGS will play through June in 2011 and are looking at going to Ripken @ Myrtle Beach. Shortly after selections are made there will be a mandatory parent/player meeting to further review the calendar/budget and answer all questions about the 2011 season. We have fielded phone calls about the tryouts already and are seeking players that are highly motivated, disciplined, focused, experienced, and along with dedicated parents… will work together and build this team on character, teamwork, and a positive attitude…..as we prepare them for High School Baseball in a couple of years.
