I've got to give it to Ringgold winning (5) games on Saturday to get to the ship and knocking of OP the team that put them in the losers bracket game 1, and then come back and play the Yankees tough in the championship. I wonder what the Yankee's seed would have been if they had to play Shaw Park and Ringgold in pool play on Tuesday? But I'm sure it wouldn't have made a difference. Congrats Yankees
Congratulations Yankees! Baseballnutz...about the only thing that would've changed by the Yankees' scheduled being different was Ringgold's draw. They drew an easy bye by not having to play the Yankees early. Give credit where credit is due.
Tigers had to send everyone for the final out, Tigers Catcher broke his finger in the bottom of five.. he would have been the next hitter and the final out.. Ringgold Coach just keep sending runners.. Tigers played great all through the tournament and yes it would have been different if Yankees had played Tigers 1st game.. But Yankees are champions Ringgold showed more guts than a lot of 9u teams would show.. playing through the Saturday Schedule. Congrats to Ringgold!!!!

I watched the first OP/Ringgold game on Sat morning and I must say that it could have been a totally different game (not necessarily a different outcome) if Ringgold hadn't run themselves out of a couple of potentially big innings. Overly agressive baserunning works great sometimes....other times not so much.

That's one way to look at it and I give credit to the Yankees for winning the tournament. I still wonder how this change happened as were many around the park and if you think that playing Shaw Park and Ringgold would not have impacted their seeding than you are kidding yourself. Would the end be any different maybe not but why not play it out as it was scheduled and leave no questions. Just my thoughts.
