The new Pope Jr. Greyhounds Baseball program will begin its first season of play in Spring 2011. We will be playing in many tournaments as well as playing local league schedule. Tryouts are Sunday, August 1 at Pope H.S. baseball field. To be eligible for the 14U team, players must be 14yrs old or under as of 4/30/2011 (a few select 13 yr olds may be eligible for the team). Especially need talented pitchers and outfielders. Advanced registration is required – no walk-ups accepted for tryouts.
The 14U team will be led by Head Coach Alan NeSmith and 2 Pope alumni (non-parent coaches). More information and online registration available at www.PopeJrGreyhounds.com (interested applicants should read the Handouts page).

Private school and home school students who reside in the Pope district are eligible for the team. Players who live out of district are able to tryout as well, since a select few non-Pope players may be chosen for the team.
