Team Georgia will be hosting tryouts on Saturday July 17th (time TBD) for the upcoming 2011 season. This is NOT the Team Georgia Baseball Academy (AAA team) but the Team Georgia Baseball (major) team that plays out of Bishop, Ga (Oconee County).
Having just completed it's first season together, the 2010 team went 63-15 winning events in Triple Crown, USSSA (11u & 12u), Nations, and Grand Slam, and peaked as high as #7 nationally as ranked by Travel Ball Select.

To again answer the question regarding how we would handle someone interested but feel you might be too far away, I posted the following (which still applies) a few months ago:
Team Ga practices 1-2 times per week out of Bishop, Ga (south of Watkinsville in Oconee County). If you feel you live too far to commit because of practice, let us know. We do like to practice with our players for obvious reasons but the main thing we are concerned with is that our players are prepared on game day. If they are getting practice through some other means (another program, personal instruction, etc) and are as prepared as the rest of our team on the weekends we play, we are ok with that.
