I'm coaching a 6u team this spring (1st time coach). As it stands, our roster has 16 players. Is this too many for this age-group? I know a few players will miss each game/practice due to illness, vacations, etc., but 16 seems a bit much to allow equal playing time for everyone (which is a goal of mine). Any thoughts from the 6u vets out there? Is 16 a manageable number or should I talk to the league about forming another team? I know a few other league squads also have 15-16 players as well. Thanks in advance for any insight!
