My son was a MAKO and XL1 fanatic. We recently purchased a -5 VELO from Better Baseball and he loves it. The weight is evenly distributed and it does not feel like a -5 bat. |

My grandson has always been Easton also, but loves the Velo BBCOR too. Good hitting Bat. |

Please see my thread on the 5150, the Velo is just as loud! My son is also just swinging the BBCOR bats for the first time and he does love the bat...his coaches and I could do without the PING sound though! Might want to go to better baseball and do that hitrax thing, it was only $20 and he can swing every bat in the store. Plus, if you buy a bat that day they take the $20 off the cost of the bat.
I was really surprised by the results. For the last 5 years it has been Easton all the way but the data from the hitrax was pretty clear that Easton was no longer the manufacturer for my son who is a power hitter. |
