My son (9th grade) just finished playing his 1st season of high school JV baseball. One of the asst. coaches mentioned that he might be considered for the Varsity squad next season rather than a 2nd season of JV. Now, I'm not at all one of "those" parents who claims my kid is #1 (we all know the type). However, I will say that he was the JV stat leader in a couple of areas.
My question is this-is it better to have him play another season of JV and continue his team leadership or play varsity and potentially do more watching the game (rather than playing)?
