PrepStar Grinders Baseball, a travel baseball program based out of Cobb County, is seeking coaches interested in a potential multi-year commitment to our program. In addition to our existing 14U team, we will be expanding to include a 13U team for the 2019-2020 season creating multiple opportunities for coaches that believe in true player development.

Grinder Baseball’s goal is to hire a coaching staff whose primary focus is on the long-term development of players 13U through 17U from the Cobb County and Atlanta metro area with an emphasis on maximizing each player’s opportunity to play college baseball.

Team Advisor Mike Shaheen, who currently is the varsity head baseball coach at Whitefield Academy and formerly coached at Wesleyan High School, will work closely with the team’s coaching staff to create customized development plans for each player designed to improve their baseball skills. Throughout the season, the coaching staff will meet with the players and parents to measure each player’s progress towards their developmental plan.

Weekly practices will begin in August 2019 and will continue throughout the course of the season ending in June 2020. Practices will be held at Whitefield Academy’s baseball complex and will include weekly outdoor team and positional practices as well as indoor practices at the school’s state of the art indoor facility.

During the off-season, the team will conduct speed & conditioning training along with a throwing program at Pinnacle Prospects, the premier indoor training facility in the Atlanta Metro.

If interested, please send an overview of your coaching experience to pstarbaseball@gmail.com and Coach Shaheen will contact you to discuss the team’s goals and vision.

All communications will be confidential.
