I won't be surprised if this never get posted, but here goes. After watching coach after coach (paid and dad) fawn over one giant 6+ foot puberty stud after another - at the expense of all others - for the past few seasons, MLB network & the MLB all-stars on ESPN just brought a little levity to the madness today. This was very sobering, to say the least.

Of the 60+ players on both the NL & AL All-star teams, almost one half of them are 6ft or below. Here are a few sub 6-ft grown men eyebrow raisers. Big-boy stud-worshipper coaches, in particular, take note:

1) Jose Altuve (Astros 2B) - Ht 5', 5" - 2014 Stats - 41/44 stolen bases.
2) Kyle Seager (Seattle 3B) - Ht 5'11' - 2014 Stats - 15HR, 63RBIs at 1/2 way point.
3) Brandon Moss (As 1B) - Ht 5'11" - 2014 Stats - 21HR, 66RBIs at 1/2 way point.
4) Mike Trout (Angels OF) - Ht 6'0/6'1" - 2014 Stats - 22HR, 73RBIs at 1/2 way point.
5) Eric Aybar (Angels SS) - Ht 5'10" - 6HRs; 50RBIs, fielding % .985.
6) Kurt Suzuki (Twins C) - Ht 5'11" - .309 Avg; fielding % .994.
7) Adrian Betkre (Texas 3B) - Ht 5'11" - .337 Avg; 13HRs, 51 RBIs at 1/2 way point.
8) Yoenis Cespedes (A's OF) - Ht 5' 11" - Missile arm; 14 HRs, 56RBis already.
9) Ian Kinsler (Tigers 2B) - Ht. 6' 0" - .303 Avg; 11HRs; 51 RBIs; .979 fielding.
10) Jose Bautista (Blue Jays OF) Ht 6' 0" - 17HRs; 54 RBIs; .409 Slg.
11) Andrew McCutchen (Pirates OF) - Ht. 5'10" - 17HRs; 61RBIs; .324 BA.
12) Craig Kimbrel (Braves P) - Ht 5'11" - 29 Saves at 1/2 way point.
13) Dee Gordon (Dodgers 2B) - Ht. 5' 11" - 43 stolen bases at 1/2 way point.
14) Josh Donaldson (As 3B) - Ht. 6' 0" - 20HRs; 65RBIs at 1/2 way point.
15) Fernando Rodney (Seattle P) - Ht. 5' 11" - 27 Saves at the 1/2 way point.
16) Josh Harrison (Pirates OF) - Ht. 5' 8" - 5HRs; 28 RBIs; 9 SBs
17) Scott Kazmir (As P) - Ht. 6' 0" - W/L (11-3); .238 ERA
18) Starlin castro (Cubs SS) - Ht. 5'11" - 11HRs; 52RBIs at the 1/2 way point.

Parents of the late-bloomers, keep little Johnny playing. There's still hope and praises to those coaches who get it.
