Before the game starts….

2 coaches at the plate meeting with the umpire.

2 lineups given to the umpire. Both teams provide a lineup with 9 hitters and an extra hitter. So 10 hitters.

During the first inning the home team has an injured player and has to be removed from the game while the visitors are still at bat. (home team hasn't hit yet in the first)

Injured kid is removed by his coach in the first.

Injured kid is disqualified by the ump due to injury.

Question is…Can the kid reenter the game? Does the injured kid count as an out each time he comes up to bat as the lineup presented at start of the game, or does game go one as normal?

Or can the lineup be "adjusted" to compensate for the player that was removed for the injured player? i.e. as the injured player is removed everyone under him gets moved up?
