Why do team insist on having try outs in June? Most teams are still playing and even if their off that weekend do you want that to get back to the team your on now? |

Madskills, your point is understood but as for us we wanted to get the message out that we were in existance. Like any new team, you really can't wait until end of July or August to have try outs or you may not even get enough to fill the team. Specifically feeder teams because they can only pick from kids in that certain district. As with any current exsisting travel team, we will also have tryouts at the end of July and/or first of August in hopes to round out a full roster of quality young baseball players. Hope i didn't rock anyones boat with this, i just thought i would explain where i stood. I wish everyone the best in whatever tournament you may be in this weekend. PLAY BALL!!!!!!! |

Especially with 7 yo teams playing until the end of July. |

Sounds more like feeder tryouts. I have seen several that run from Feb-May, so June might make sense for them.
For typical travel teams, they don't hold tryouts until August (maybe end of July).
To your point, there is still a lot of baseball to be played in June and July. |
