Did you see his character on the JUCO WS, where he caused a bench clearing brawl with a cheap shot to first baseman and then tried to upstage the umpire for daring to call him out on a third strike. Ejected, the night before the draft. Some chin music in the bigs should set him straight.

Nice read. Tony Dungy once said in reply to a gripe from a college football head coach that coaching spoiled brat 18 year olds is a walk in the park compared to coaching spoiled brat, rich, 24 year olds. Here we have a 17/18 year old on the verge of becoming very rich. If he's got character issues, we'll know soon enough.

Whatever else may be said about him, at the plate he appears to be the real deal. The Nats can use him pretty much right now. Wish the kid well.
