What are your ideas for Posting fast and accurate tournament game results?

I really enjoy being able to view a tournament website from my web enabled phone whether I am checking out the results of a tournament that I am currently in or maybe my buddys team.

I know there are plenty of techy guys on this forum that could share their ideas on how to do it. I don't think there is one best solution, but a handful of ideas that if we share them here, would provide Teams a couple of choices for getting the results posted promptly.

iPhone > Google Spreadsheet > Your Team Page

This year with some new features of online spreadsheets, I was able to come up with a relatively simple solution. That will allow you to use an iPhone or other Web enabled phone to make live updates from the
park to your team's website.

GOOGLE DOC SPREADSHEET
The heart of this solution is the use of the online Google Docs Spreadsheet. Just like MS Excel, you can create your schedule that displays Game Times, Field Numbers, Teams and Scores. You will get more for your buck if you also include formulas that auto calculate Team Wins and Losses, Run Allowed and Runs Scored. This way from the Tournament you will only be require to enter the resulting score and all the rest is calculated for you. This document can be updated from any online computer as well as there is a Google Docs Application for the iPhone.

Google Docs will allow you to save your spreadsheet as a webpage and there is an option to create "Embeded Code" for the Spreadsheet page. This is the HTML code (written for you) that can be added to your team's website. Everyone appears to have a team website these days and it should be the center of your Tournaments communications solution. Whether it be HomeTeamsOnline, LeagueLineup, or ETeamz... you will be able to paste the embedded code to a tournament page to display the content of your Google Doc Spreadsheet.

So in summary.... Fans visiting your website are able to view your Google spreadsheet that is updated with your phone or internet connected computer from the tournament.

A sample of this solution can be viewed at our team's website. Please note that the tournament has be delayed due to weather and therefore only results of the completed games are posted. As we complete this tournament the scores will be updated instantaneously.
There was also room at the bottom to include a section for weather updates that can be updated remotely as well.
