I am looking to start keeping my "book" on a very small laptop as opposed to a stats book so that I can easily see YTD stats, spray charts with certain pitchers, etc. I want it to track pitching stats and hitting stats and I want to be able to bring it home and print out a box score and everything.

I already have a laptop that I can use and I dont mind spending a little bit of money for the software but I would love to hear recommendations. Anybody got one of these software packages they just love?

Thanks!!

Iscore is a great program. But you really have to concentrate on the game. I'm having trouble keeping up with it, but then again I struggle with the score board too.....

IScore is a very good program what what all I have read and seen from their website. It is also available for IPad. I will be buying an IPad tomorrow and this is the first app I will buy so will let you know of any problems or issues. Plus as mentioned for $10 why not give it a try.

If you use it on the iPhone you can "broadcast" the game to other iPhones, text and email accounts. I have not tried this,...but the concept seems sound

I actually purchased the ScorePad software 2 weeks ago and played with it and I liked it but I used it at the NIT last weekend and it screwed up all of my pitching stats. It gave all of the pitching stats to the last pitcher of the game no matter who pitched before him or how much they actually pitched. I tried all day yesterday to get some support on it, to no avail.

After seeing the 2 posts above about Turbo Stats I looked at the web site, called the support line and a guy named Don answered the phone and spoke with me for about 20 minutes answering all of my questions and letting me know that he would always be there if I needed any assistance. I ended up buying the whole system AND a Palm Device to use it on. I have a soft spot for people who offer good support in the computer business.

Thanks for the tips guys....hopefully I can come back here in a few weeks and report that it is working great!

Check out DakStats by Daktronics...they have a 30 day demo you can try for free...not sure how much it is after that but it's pretty nice stuff!

ScorePad is my favorite program....but the Iphone software is garbage. A dad on our team uses the Palm Treo version and it is great for recording all the statistics

I've used Turbo-Stats for years with great success producing all the stats, charts, and data you are looking for.

I use turbo stats and like it alot. The only downside is the scorekeeper program only works on a palm OS. I think you can score the game directly on a laptop with though.
